# Declarations page

> What the declarations page (dec page) of an insurance policy is, and how to read the named insureds, coverages, limits, deductibles, and premium totals on it.

The **declarations page** (dec page) is the summary sheet of your policy. It lists coverages, limits, deductibles, premium, and the policy period.

If you are unsure what you have, start here. Lenders and landlords often require a current copy.
