Bodily injury liability (BI) pays for other people’s medical bills and lost wages when you cause an accident. Limits are shown as per-person / per-accident (for example, 100,000/100,000 / 300,000). BI does not cover your own injuries. State minimums are often far below what a serious injury claim costs.
