Endorsement (rider)
What an insurance endorsement or rider is, how it modifies your base auto or home policy to add, remove, or change coverage, and when it takes effect.
An endorsement (sometimes called a rider) modifies your base policy. Examples include sewer backup, scheduled jewelry, home business liability, identity theft, or equipment breakdown.
Endorsements often cost a few dollars to a few tens of dollars per month and can fill meaningful gaps standard forms exclude.
